Looking forward.........

.......to the promise that a new year brings. Now normally I get quite depressed around the start of the new year. But last year was a really tough year for our family (it seems to have been a bad year all around) & so I'm happy to put it behind us. Dont get me wrong, there were plenty of great times, but the tough times were really tough. We got through it, & I think we have come out on the other side stronger. I'm feeling very optimistic about this new year. I have lots of ideas & plans that I want to put into action. No resolutions as I never keep them. Just plans. Plans that hopefully will be revealed very soon :-)

2 out of 3 of my girls have gone back to school today, the Husband went back to work yesterday, the xmas decorations have been taken down & the house is generally very tidy. Miss L-R is keeping herself busy by painting beautiful works of art for me, & will very soon be raiding her sisters toys, to take advantage of them not being here telling her to leave them alone, ha ha! The house is looking very bare without the decorations, so Im planning on spending time making some pretty things, like cushions etc, to cosy it up. I have a nice new workspace that my lovely Hubby installed for me, that is just begging to be used.

This is it right now:

All clean & tidy, with a pot of tea & a biscuit (or 4!). It needs to be prettied up slightly. But I'm loving how clean & tidy it feels. The mission will be to keep it tidy!

Ok, the sewing machine is calling!! I have some xmas posts & 2011 roundup posts to come in the next few days, as well as some housey/sewing/crocheting posts to show.

Happy New Year!! xxx
