The New Year Blanket (WIP!!)

Last year I made a Wobbly Granny Blanket & still had a substantial amount of wool left. Originally I planned to make a Cath Kidston style granny blanket, small squares rather than one large square. I started, but the colours just didnt work for me.

So back to the drawing board I went.

I'd seen & fell in love with the Flowers In The Snow blanket by Solveig Grimstad & added it to my queue on Ravelry. Im not sure why it took me so long to put 2 & 2 together & decide to use the left over wool to make this? But finally the lightbulb clicked on & on the 30th December 2011, I started to make the circles.

They crochet up pretty quickly, especially when made in a production line!!

Soon, I had a pretty decent pile *Smile*

Originally, I wanted to have the blanket completed by the end of Jan, but well it didnt happen!! However this weekend Im planning on starting to join all of the circles together, so the end is in sight! We have snow forecast, & temps outside are freezing right now, so Im not planning on venturing too far at the weekend.

Forgot to add, that this blanket is for Me!!
